A little more about my competencies.

  • In 2021, I completed a one-year Psychology and Social Studies school in Cork, Ireland.
  • Currently, I am studying clinical psychology at WSB-NLU.
  • I worked as a volunteer for the crisis intervention helpline 50808 in Ireland.

My name is Renata and I live in Ireland. I created this website to share knowledge about Emotional Freedom Technique. You can learn about this technique from the EFT section. Here, I would like to say a few words about myself. 

 

I come from Poland, but I have been living in Ireland since 2017. A year after my arrival, I fell ill and was diagnosed with several chronic illnesses. Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, and functional neurological disorder (FND) have been my constant companions ever since, along with my cat. 

 

Since I became ill, I started looking for different solutions to survive each day. After a few months of searching, I found a fantastic psychotherapist.  Neurophysiotherapy also helped me. However, what has truly changed my life and made it possible to apply it independently at home was the technique of psychological acupuncture, known as the Emotional Freedom Technique. 

For the first time, I heard about this technique in 2019 as a patient of a clinic specializing in the treatment of chronic fatigue syndrome. I received a lot of valuable advice, but I thought EFT was a total scam. Without checking, I assumed it couldn't work. It sounded and looked like some hocus-pocus. 

 

A few weeks later, I decided to find out what this mysterious tapping was all about. I downloaded one of the most popular apps on the topic, and that was it. However, after a few more weeks, I had a particularly bad day. I felt like a zombie, and I had to clean the kitchen. I didn't have an ounce of energy, not even to sit on a chair. Then, out of desperation, I opened the app and did the exercise that allowed me to clean that damn kitchen without feeling exhausted. I thought to myself, "Oh my, could this actually work?" 

 

I started doing more exercises. At first, ones that I specifically needed. Then I tried various experiments, not necessarily related to illnesses. For example, I did a series of exercises on gratitude or the sense of being enough. Over time, EFT helped me significantly manage the symptoms of my illness. 

 

Then I started learning about the body, mind, and tapping. The result of that is this website and the business I run. I hope that EFT will become a supportive tool for you as well, helpful in facing life's challenges.
